vMocion, LLC is a Media and Entertainment company that holds the exclusive, global, perpetual license for Mayo Clinic’s Galvanic Vestibular Stimulation (GVS) patents and algorithms within all media and entertainment categories.  The company was formed by Hillstrom Media Technology, LLC (HMT) and  Mayo Clinic to create vMocion’s 3v Platform, which can be licensed and integrated into a variety of media and entertainment applications, including virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) platforms.

    Brad Hillstrom, M.D. is co-founder and Chairman of Board of vMocion, where he advises management on strategy regarding corporate structure, funding structure, and science and technology.

    His primary role is to build cross-functional working relationships to achieve integration and alignment with internal and external partners. Dr. Hillstrom is a Mayo Clinic-trained physician who spent his career developing and managing companies in the healthcare arena, as well as non-medical ventures in Internet advertising, electronic advertising technology, and the entertainment industry. As a consultant to healthcare companies nationwide, he advised state and federal government leaders on healthcare reform. He has also acted as a healthcare operating partner for a hedge fund and has been a principal in merger & acquisition transactions.

     

    In 1988, Dr. Hillstrom successfully pioneered one of the first national management services organization (MSO) for physicians, while still a resident at Mayo Clinic. He also founded several successful, physician-driven organizations and served on many boards, including the Board of Governors of the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics, The Board of Governors of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and The Mayo Clinic Joint Conference Committee. Dr. Hillstrom received his B.A. magna cum laude in psychology from The University of Minnesota, and his M.D. from The University of Minnesota Medical School.

    Bradley Hillstrom is the co-founder and CEO of vMocion, where he oversees the development of the company’s marketing, vision, guiding principles, and strategy.

    Prior to vMocion, Bradley co-founded and led Transparent Media Company, a film finance company. Bradley also served as President of Hillstrom Equities and Hillstrom Entertainment, where the companies reached notable success in the technology, entertainment, and healthcare sectors under his leadership. He played an integral role in developing innovative financing structures and backend technologies that created both profitability and efficiency within each organization. In addition to spearheading the company’s corporate development activities and digital initiatives, Mr. Hillstrom closely managed the legal and business aspects of each transaction that occurred.

    Bradley served in the Unites States Marine Corps, where he built upon his natural leadership abilities, innate focus, discipline, and commitment. He served in multiple theatres of combat from 2003-2007 and was a member of F.A.S.T. Company (Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Teams) for two tours of duty. Additionally, he was a member of the 2nd Battalion 8th Marine Regiment where he was awarded a medal for bravery in combat.

    Randall (Randy) Love serves as a strategic business advisor for vMocion's  business ventures

    Randy recently retired after 40 years in the management consulting profession having lead transformational changes for global clients of both KPMG and Ernst & Young as a Consulting Partner. Randy brings a wealth of experience and relationships to vMocion across multiple industries including aerospace & defense, entertainment, high-technology manufacturing, automotive, biotech, and consumer products. Randy’s impressive client list includes such corporations as Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Honeywell, Sony, Disney, Mattel, Amgen, Genentech, Toyota, Honda, Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, and Motorola Electronics.

    In addition to the significant training and development provided by the Big 4 professional services firms, Randy previously served on the Executive Board of the Asia Society in Southern California, Foreign Direct Investment Committee of the LA World Trade Association, LA Economic Development Council, and Boards of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Education Foundation, Palos Verdes Golf Club, and Palos Verdes Beach & Athletic Club. Randy’s educational background includes a B.S. in Finance & Business Administration from Kansas State College, and completion of the Northwestern University-Kellogg School of Management’s Executive Program.

    Jeff has more than twenty years of entertainment finance and related experience.  Through his boutique advisory he founded in 2000, XL.Ent Media Group, Mr. Andrick's clients have ranged across financial institutions, Forbes 400 and other large investment groups and private investors, studio-based and independent production companies, international sales agents and U.S. distributors.  Global advisory engagements in have included strategic advisory, planning and modeling for production, distribution, P&A, soft money structures, media buying, bridge/finishing funds, television, video game and new media companies, distressed and other library transactions, and a music label restructure.  Jeff also served as Managing Director of Continental Entertainment Capital, a specialty financing and merchant banking venture with Citigroup, which deployed a variety of debt, mezzanine and equity capital through project, slate, corporate and structured finance transactions.

  • DANIEL CONNOR, OPERATIONS

    Daniel Connor handles operations for vMocion

     

    Upon retiring from the Marine Corps in 2014, he has been active in several successful start-up ventures, as well as assisting veterans in their transition from military life. While serving in the Marine Corps as a decorated Naval Aviator and military attaché, he was a Presidential Helicopter Pilot at Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1). In addition to flying the President and Vice President of the United States, he was responsible for testing, evaluation, and implementation of new aircraft equipment for the Presidential helicopter fleet. Upon completion of this assignment, he was hand selected to serve as the US Naval Attaché to Pakistan. He was an integral part of the team that reestablished working lines of communication between the two nuclear powers after a diplomatic breakdown following the raid to capture Osama bin Laden. He ensured that US interests in the region were clearly understood by the government of Pakistan, and that Pakistan’s issues and concerns were relayed appropriately to the US government. The relationships he developed with key leaders of both nations, and the mutual understanding he fostered was instrumental in deescalating several crises during his tenure. He maintains close relationships with many of the diplomats and military officers he served with from around the world. Daniel has degrees in History and Political Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and has a working knowledge of the Urdu language. He regularly speaks on his military experiences to civic and professional organizations.

    Steve Gershick serves as a strategic business advisor for vMocion and HMT’s business ventures

    Mr. Gershick has substantial hands-on financial, accounting and operational experiences in early stage and hyper-growth private and public companies. Over the past 20 years, Mr. Gershick has served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for a number of private and public companies in technology and biotechnology, including a boutique merchant banking firm and $100 Million Special Purpose Acquisition Company funded by CitiGroup. He also has extensive experience in both private and public company business planning, corporate finance including reverse acquisitions, debt and equity based seed, venture, institutional, and PIPE financing, with interface with the investment community at all levels. He has a strong background in new product launch and rollout, strategic alliance formation and management, mergers & acquisitions, and global technology licensing. Steve is both a licensed Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in Accounting/Business Administration from California State University Northridge in 1977.
